Side Swirlies of a split cassette created for the Dropdead + Swirlies show at Fast Forward Records (Providence, RI) . About 25 to 30 copies were given away at the show (May 4, 1991 at 10pm).

On this recording, we were Damon Tutunjian, Seana Carmody, Ben Drucker, and Andy Bernick. This is Swirlies Number 1.

Side Swirlies featured all four tracks from Swirlies' December 1990 demo tape: “Didn’t Understand,” “Trudi,” “Crush (original mix),” and “Chris R.” Monophonic PZM recordings with 4-track overdubs.

Also includes two songs from our first live show (January 25, 1991 at The Alcove in Allston, MA): “Sleepytime” and “A Hair Thing.”

Remastered at some point by Damon.

As the split cassette artwork states:

This is absolutely nothing like loveless. It's its own thing completely, and comparisons are kind of baffling. It's more Isn't Anything covered by the Swirlies IF the comparison must be made, because this is it's own masterpiece.The sounds of the opening track are pure bliss. bishtmomph
